An Interview with Matt Blanchard

At the beginning of 2024 the AE Business Solutions team was excited to welcome Matt Blanchard, formerly our Director of Sales Operations - West, into a new position as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. We were lucky enough to take a bit of Matt's time to hear some of this thoughts on AE Business Solutions and his new role.

Q: What are you most looking forward to stepping into this new role?

A: Certainly a lot comes to mind, but if I can summarize a theme given the tremendous talent we have, it'd simply be the opportunity to continue to serve and guide the various teams within our firm.

Q: What do you think makes AE Business Solutions unique?

A: Our people, our culture. I've been on many teams within several different organizations and the commitment to our core values, exemplified through the individuals in our firm, is some of the strongest I've ever seen.

Q: What new technologies (or technology ideas) most excite you?

A: Some of my responses won't necessarily be novel, but they're certainly relevant today:

  1. The solutions that will be able to truly deliver value for the enterprise via all the various technologies surrounding AI.
  2. The advancement in cybersecurity solutions (both platform-based and best of breed).

Q: What do you think makes a great sales team?

A: There are many variables; one I believe important in the IT space, with solutions constantly evolving, is a team that consistently has a strong passion for learning.

Q: Where do you hope to see AEBS in 10 years?

A: We are celebrating our 75th anniversary this year (established in 1949), so 10 years from now, as we maintain our long-term view of serving our clients and planning for the future, I hope we cheers to our 85th with eyes on our 100th anniversary as a firm.
